A brief sketch of Shri Madhvacharya

Shri Madhvacharya is Acharya of Thrilokya. He has shown the way to liberation (or salvation). The entire knowledge of shaastras was acquired by him. He is responsible for guiding multiple crores of Saatvik people. He has analyzed the Brahma Sutra of Vedavyasa. “Sumadvha Vijaya” written by Shri Narayana Pandithacharya contains 1008 shlokas which depicts the entire biography of Achary

Acharya’s childhood is as similar as to that of lord Krishna. When Acharya was an infant by consuming horse gram no side effects could be seen to the child. Acharya by offering tamarind seeds to his father’s friend solves the loan problem of his father. When he was just one year old, he had gone around the place by holding the tail of bull. He had consumed 200/1000 plantains without any effect to the stomach. He had drunk milk from 30 khodas. Acharya had cured the head ache of his teacher’s son by blowing air to the ear. From “Sumadhva Vijaya”, we learn that how Acharya has shown to the world about giving respect to the parents. When Acharya wanted to take up Sanyasa, his parents requests him not to take up Sanyasa as he is the only child surviving and there would be nobody to look after them in their old age. Acharya gives consent that he will not take up Sanyasa until his parents have another child. Acharya takes up the Sanyasa only after the birth of his younger brother Vishnu Theertha. When Acharya went to see Vedavyasa to Dodda Badari, his disciple Sathya Thirtha could not keep pace with Acharya and he was forced to come back to Chikka Badari which is the place often visited now by us. . Acharya demonstrated that he is Hanumantha avatar. Acharya does mouna vrutha (silent vow) for 48 days in Badari and he takes bath in Alakananda river daily during the dawn time. He was bathing three times in the Alakananda river. When thieves tried for theft, Acharya makes them to fight among themselves. When a giant in the form of tiger jumps at his disciple Sathya Theertha, Acharya kills the tiger by just touching it by his hand. This is an illustration to show that Acharya saves those who do upasane to GOD. If one understands (or reads) Brahma Sutra, Acharya will protect them from danger. Acharya with his shishyas crossed the Ganga river easily. Acharya responds in the same language of the King. The king offers half of his kingdom. When the King questions Acharya how they could cross the Ganga river wherein he had kept his guards everywhere. Acharya answers him that he could do this feat with the help of Lord (GOD) who is surrounded by Sun. The doors of Vaikunta are open to those who are perfect in both loukika vidye and shaasthra vidye. To understand Madhva shaastra, one should become a student of Madhva philosophy. Initiation towards Madhva shaastra is essential to understand Madhva shaastra.

Achaya spread the nava vidha bhakti to the universe.
